What is an interim manager/part-time executive?

An interim manager is an independent worker who operates at the highest business level either as a temporary director, executive or senior manager. Interim managers are not consultants and they expect to arrive, often at short notice, roll their sleeves up and get on with the job in exactly the same way as a permanent employee. Similarly, a part time executive offers the same service as his or her full time equivalent but often supports a small portfolio of clients.
How do I use your website to find suitable candidates?

Our site offers you three simple option:
1. you can search our database and contact our candidates or

2. you can place an advertisement and candidates then apply directly to you or via our confidential mailbox service

3.  you can use our bespoke search services - we can usually provide a SHORTLIST IN A WEEK.

Database Search. Our database is open to public view, so you can carry out an initial search to find suitable candidates in your area by inputting the postcode of the assignment, and the business discipline you require. You can also search our database by putting in keywords or names. Once you have a shortlist of candidates you can then register with us and purchase one of our database search packages. This means that you can contact the candidate directly either by telephone, email or our messaging service. Some of our candidates have directory style entries where their websites are displayed, and you can contact them directly without registering. Others have chosen to highlight their immediate availablity and you may select them in your search results. 

Assignment Advertising. You may wish to increase the number of applicants for your role by advertising your assignment on our website. Once you have registered you will be guided through our simple process for placing your ad which should take you no more than 15 minutes to complete. All adverts must be approved before being published, but approval should take place within 24 hours. Business clients report that they have been experiencing a significant rise in the number of assignment applicants which inevitably increases the amount of administration time involved dealing with calls and paperwork, they have also experienced increases in unwanted calls from agencies and other sources. Using our confidential advertising option eliminates all these problems. We receive all replies into our mailbox and forward on all bona fide applications to you, we also acknowledge all applications and notify all unsuccessful candidates on your behalf.

Bespoke Searches. We can support your search using our expertise in the marketplace. We place the advertisement on our site and search our database on your behalf to identify suitable candidates, we may also conduct an extended search using the internet. This would potentially include additional advertising of the role, searches of the internet and other CV databases and contacting specialist interim networks. If required, and in almost every case, we can provide a SHORTLIST IN A WEEK at a tiny fraction of the usual cost.

How do I work out an appropriate daily rate to pay?

You may well have established the daily rate you want to pay and our candidates all give an indicative daily rate in their profiles, so that you know their expectations before you approach them. Alternatively, if you have established the salary level for your assignment and want to know the equivalent daily rate, our useful table converts one to the other for you

Our estimates are employers national insurance 12%, car costs 10% (0% for lowest band), pension and health care 15%, annual bonus 25% (lowest band) to 55% (highest band), share option costs are not included. The substantial costs of permanent recruitment and redundancy payments are not included here. Number of productive working weeks is 42 after deducting holidays, bank holidays, training courses and sick leave.
 
What happens when I find someone?

Our role ends once you have been introduced to candidates via our site and it is then up to you to operate your usual selection and recruitment processes to find the appropriate person for your assignment. We wish you every success in finding a suitable candidate for your role.
